A specially tailored and nutritionally balanced diet can help to support dogs like yours with urinary health sensitivities or concerns. ROYAL CANINĀ® Urinary U/CĀ dryĀ dog food is formulated with the nutritional needs of your dog in mind.
ROYAL CANINĀ® Urinary U/CĀ DryĀ dog food is suitable for dogs with:
- Metabolic uroliths (urate, xanthine, cystine): management of recurrence
- Hyperuricosuria
- Management of metabolic uroliths risk in dogs with leishmaniasis treated with xanthine oxidase inhibitors
Key Benefits:
- Urate ControlĀ - ROYAL CANINĀ® Canine Urinary U/C contains a specific selection of proteins that have a low purine content. These proteins help to reduce the likelihood of harmful urate stones forming in your dog's bladder.
- Cystine controlĀ - Cystine is a natural substance that - when excessively present in your dog's urine - can lead to the formation of cystine stones in your dog's kidneys, bladder or urinary tract. Thanks to a limited inclusion of proteins and some amino acids, ROYAL CANINĀ® Canine Urinary U/C's exclusive formula contributes to limiting the formation of cystine urinary stones for optimal bladder health.
- Skin barrierĀ - ROYAL CANINĀ® Canine Urinary U/C's tailored complex of nutrients help to support the naturally protective barrier role of your dog's skin, ultimately helping to maintain the healthy function of your dog's skin and coat.
- Antioxidant ComplexĀ - Free radicals are unstable particles that can have a harmful effect on your dog's cells. ROYAL CANINĀ® Canine Urinary U/C contains a synergistic complex of all-important antioxidants that help to neutralise the negative effects of free radicals on your dog's cells.
As part of the ROYAL CANINĀ® Veterinary Health Nutrition range, it is important that this product is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional.
Please note: ROYAL CANINĀ® Urinary U/C dry dog food is not suitable for growth, gestation, lactation.
ROYAL CANINĀ® URINARY U/C dry is a complete dietetic feed for dogs, formulated to reduce the formation of urate and cystine stones through its low level of protein and of purines, its high quality protein, its moderate level of sulphur amino acids and its urine alkalising properties. RECOMMENDATIONS : It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Feed URINARY U/C dry for up to 6 months to reduce the formation of urate stones, for up to 1 year to reduce the formation of cystine stones and for life in the case of irreversible disturbance of uric acid metabolism. The dog should be re-evaluated regularly by the veterinarian to assess the relevance of a lifelong recommendation. Water should be available at all times.
